Here in Cincinnati, we have our own style, Cincinnati-style. I’m not referring to the way we dress, I’m referring to the way we eat. We have our very own hometown food, Cincinnati-style chili. Eating it is one of the defining characteristics of living here. So is debating the merits of one’s preferred brand. For the record, my preferred brand is Gold Star Chili, The Flavor of Cincinnati. It’s the restaurant brand that best understands the personal, passionate connection that the people of Greater Cincinnati have with their very own hometown dish.

Many here would debate me on this but this blog isn’t about what we disagree on; it’s about one thing that everyone who has lived in Greater Cincinnati can agree upon: our town has more chili restaurants than anyplace else in the country. This is Chilitown USA and over the months and years, this blog will tell our story.
